Not only focused on its own units, CHAD believes that all renters should live in well maintained and safe homes. CHAD advocates for affordable quality housing throughout the community.
- With State Representative Sandy Pihos, CHAD advocated for House Bill 5125 which limits townhouse associations from barring rental units that are rented to nonprofit agencies like CHAD.
- CHAD continues to encourage the adoption of city standards for rental property, and implement rental inspections to avoid “bad examples of affordable housing.” These standards have recently been adopted in Westmont and CHAD hopes to see them spread to other DuPage communities.
