CHAD is a good neighbor and benefits the community in several ways:

Stabilize Families: Quality of family life is enhanced, health and well being are improved.

Improve Children’s Outcomes: Children are able to stay in the same school system, improving their chance for academic success, and improving their social relationships.

Improve Quality of Properties: CHAD does not allow any of its properties to be substandard.  Our property managers and maintenance staff have high standards and maintain quality properties, inside and out, at all times. In addition, CHAD redevelops foreclosed properties under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and keeps them from becoming a source of abandonment or crime.

Support the Vibrancy & Viability of the Local Economy: Businesses can find and retain employees when affordable housing is available.  Workers can live in the same community in which they work.

Reduce Fuel Consumption and Commuting: Workers’ commutes are shortened.

Reduce Homelessness: Households that cannot afford their housing can easily slide into homelessness.  Once homeless, it’s difficult to find and retain employment.
